LZ World Tour 2023

LZ World Tour 2023

We attended the Irish stop of the LZ World Tour last year and holy sh*t... what an event that was!!

After attending LZFest the year before, when we heard that Adam LZ and DriftGames were turning it into a world tour, we absolutley had to go back. So Last July, myself and Ally jumped on a ferry and headed back to Mondello Park.

LZFest was amazing but LZ World Tour was simply sensational. From ending up in a convoy of modified cars en route down to Dublin to watching some of the biggest YouTube drifters go door to door with world class pro drifters, the entire weekend was unforgettable.

After checking into the hotel on the Friday afternoon and walking into town for a few Guinness', we got prepared for a weekend of car madness. Knowing it was going to be busy, we came up with a game plan. 1. Get to the track early. 2. Hit up the trade stands, try beat the queues and spend all our money. 3. Wander around the car show. 4. Drop the goods off at the car. 5. Spend the rest of the time in awe at the sheer talent of driving on track.

Saturday morning came and the plan went flawlessly. We got there early, secured all the merch we had our eyes on and took a walk through the car show. I can honestly say I've never seen so many jap hero cars in one place. R34 GTRs, MK4 Supras, S13s, S14s, S15s, AE86s and everything in between.

The standard of cars on show was second to none but that was just a snippet of what was to come...

After standing for 8 hours a day at LZFest the year before, there was no way we weren't getting seats in the grandstand this year, so with tickets in hand, we headed to our seats to watch the madness.

The on track action on Saturday was insane and set the tone for the Sunday which we couldn't wait for. After we got back to the hotel, we decided to head into town for food and more Guinness. After a few more Guinness' 212PROJECTS was born.

If you don't know the story behind our origins, head to the 'about us' section and give it a read. Please.

Sunday rolled around and after Saturday, we couldn't wait to get back to the track. After another look around the car show seeing cars we didn't get to see the day before, the action on track was just kicking off.

After a few crazy battles, we were treated to James Deane showcasing his brand new FD RX-7 4 rotor turbo and jesus christ, what a show that was. The speed, the noise, the smoke was all utterly insane. This was most definitely the highlight of the weekend!

Plus, finding out later on that Mondello Park only allowed him to run it once because its so loud just made it even more special.

After watching the rest of the competition, seeing the likes of Hert, Jimmy Oakes, and AdamLZ sliding side by side with James Deane, The Shannans and Baggsy, we headed back up to Belfast to catch the 11:30pm ferry.

So now we're on the ferry home and on a mega downer because one of the most insane weekends is over but come Monday morning, the work started on 212PROJECTS and now here we are...

So, thanks for reading and thank you all for the continued support in our journey of building our very own brand!
